Maintained Nursery School Admission Policy

Education for Two Year Old Children

Children are able to attend Rosegrove Nursery School from two years of age.  There are three ways in which Parents / Carers can access places for their children.

1) Parents / carers can pay for their child to attend sessions (please see our Charging and Remissions policy for our current price list) 

2) Families may be entitled to a Free Early Education 15 hour place .  Free two year old places are offered by the Government the term after your child's second birthday.  To claim a free Nursery School place you will have to contact Lancashire County Council by either following the link on this page or telephoning   0300 123 6712 to check your eligibility.  www.lancashire.gov.uk/childcare.  If you are eligible for a Free Early Education, two year old place then Lancashire County Council will send you a confirmation letter.  Please bring this letter to Nursery School along with your application form and your child's birth certificate.  

3)Eligible working parents of two year olds can access 15 hours childcare support through the Governments Childcare Expansion offer, further details can be found at www.childcarechoices.gov.uk 

Education FOr three and four year old children

All Children are entitled to 15 hours of Nursery Education the term after their third Birthday.  We admit children to our Nursery School in September , January and April each year.  Our Nursery Education runs in set session times which are Morning Sessions 8.30-11.30, Afternoon Sessions 12.30-3.30.  To support our families we are able to offer additional hours which can be accessed by :

1) Families pay to 'top up' the number of hours their child attends ( please see the charging and remissions policy for our current price list)

2) Families can access the Government Childcare offer.  Eligible working parents and carers of children aged 3/4 years old can receive an additional 15 hours of childcare support bringing the total they get to 30 hours per week.  Further details can be found at www.childcarechoices.gov.uk
